Miss Rodriguez's 4th grade class had an amazing time today at the Wabash and Erie Canal in Delphi, Indiana! They learned all about the canal, which was dug entirely by hand. A fun and educational day exploring Indiana's history!

Join us for a spooky fun time on October 25th from 6:00-7:00 PM at Columbia Elementary for our first ever Trunk or Treat!
We are kindly asking for candy donations to help make this event a sweet success. Donations can be dropped off at the front office anytime from now until October 9th. You can also bring your candy donations when you come for Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 10th or 11th.

This week in Miss Rodriguez’s class, we’ve been digging deep into rock layers and fossils! 🪨🦕 My students got creative and built their own edible models, with gummies representing fossils hidden in the layers! 🍬🔍 It’s been so fun watching them explore Earth’s history in such a tasty way!

On Friday, Miss Marchal and Mrs. Hernandez’s classes listened to “Apple vs Pumpkin” and then learned about how pumpkins and apples look like, feel like and taste like!
Miss Howards class did a marvelous job in the Gym on Friday. Listened to anew game on Friday and played it very well.
Mrs. Rogers works in all grades to help students become good readers. These first grade students in Miss Frye's class are reading with partners to practice reading fluency.

Mrs. Henry's second grade class had a great time with our community reader, Teresa Zimmerman from the Cass County Chamber of Commerce! Students got to learn a little bit about what the Chamber does in our community, and Mrs. Zimmerman read "We Don't Eat Our Classmates" (a crowd favorite).
