Columbia Elementary 3rd and 4th grade students collected items to make Christmas Gift bags for an Army Reserves Unit based in South Bend. Students, teachers and community members donated many items to fill the bags that were delivered to the Alpha Company members on December 7th. This was a welcome treat for the unit. Their Company
Commander said, "On behalf of our company, thank you! The guys loved it! For real, it made a lot of them smile. So thank you, it was very kind and we appreciated it very much.”
Mrs. Cole’s class made gingerbread houses for their gingerbread men on Friday.
On Friday in Miss Rodriguez’s class, students celebrated the holidays with a special Christmas party and a silent auction! 🎄🎁 After working hard all semester to earn “Star Bucks” through their classroom jobs and academic excellence, students had the chance to bid on prizes, learning valuable lessons about saving and spending. Everyone left with a prize, making it a truly memorable day for all! ✨

During our December Cardinal Connection Convocation, CES students brought quarters in to vote for their favorite staff members to get pied in the face! The lucky winners were: Officer Farris, Mrs. Sabatini, Mr. Zvers, Mrs. Murray, Mr. Henderson and Mr. Jared!
